| WORKOUT 1 | classic:

Kendra’s signature barre class that is jam packed with dynamic moments of opposition and balance to promote proper body mechanics and posture. With flavors of ballet, yoga, and pilates, this class is low impact but will leave you feeling long, lean, and toned (& probably super sore).

The idea of preparing so many meals at once may seem a little daunting to some, but the amount of time, energy, and money you’ll save in the long run more than makes up for your time in the kitchen.

Instead of making a new menu for every meal, each day — try eating a similar menu M/W/F and change it up on T/TH!

| WORKOUT 2 | barre athlete: 

Kendra’s signature 30 minute interval training class that will burn loads of calories during class and even more after class. With bursts of hard-work followed by a short rest, your body will burn fat, build lean muscle, increase metabolism, and build a healthy heart.

While daily posture is important, sleeping posture could be more important!

Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain proper alignment.

If you know you’re heading to an event or out with friends, whip up a nutrition-dense smoothie before you leave the house to curb cravings and prevent over-indulging.

Kendra’s favorite blend:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened pea milk

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 scoop chocolate vegan protein

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 1 tsp almond butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 10 ice cubes

| WORKOUT 4 | power alley:  

The newest addition to the schedule. This 20 minute series focuses on a specific muscle group at a time, and we change the focus each week. The goal is to reach muscle failure… and embrace. the. shake.

Drinking green tea after a meal tricks your brain into thinking you ate more than you actually did. You’ll feel full, and it’s a perfect way to prevent bloat.

Try it iced after lunch and decaf after dinner to help unwind from the day.

| WORKOUT 5 | sculpt:

Welcome to the fiercest way to find your center.  An asana flow bootcamp that will leave you  powerfully exhausted.

You don’t need an expensive studio membership— just wifi and a barreALLEY subscription.

You also don’t need fancy equipment to get a challenging workout and use what you have: water bottles as hand weights, or an old kickball as a mini exercise ball. But if you’re ready to upgrade your goods … here's what I recommend.

| WORKOUT 6 | restorative yoga:

The perfect approach to recovery by movement.  A feel-good class centering your breath and body - aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time.

Quality sleep makes more for a productive day. Cell phones & gadgets give off what’s known as blue light - a type that studies suggest can inhibit the production of the sleep-rhythms. This may be because blue light emits wavelengths similar to daylight, which can make our bodies think it’s daytime, at any time. Try to stop using your phone at least 2 hours before you fall asleep. If you’re phone is within arms reach, you’ll mindlessly reach for it- so move it! I know what you’re going to say, “but it’s my alarm clockkkkk”. I charge my cell phone in our bathroom. When my alarm goes off, I have to get up and get out bed in order to shut it off. & then I’m already up!

There are endless benefits to working out at home especially when you have children. They are always watching and it gives you the opportunity to be a healthy role model and talk about the importance of physical activity & healthy lifestyle.

Exercise increases energy and relieves stress — encourage them to get involved in the workouts every now and then!
